Kajánek studied at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague and Academy of Fine Arts. He has attended the BAK Summer School and International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg curatorial course of Joanna Warsza.
Kajánek participated in residency programs at Het Wilde Weten in Rotterdam, at AIR Antwerpen and in Prague MeetFactory.
Kajánek has presented his work at collective and solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad, including ones at the National Gallery in Prague, Vienna Biennale in Austria, Nitra Gallery in Slovakia, Het Wilde Weten in Rotterdam, Niederlands and Croxhapox in Gent, Belgium.
